The IMPACT range
With sustainability becoming more and more important with every passing year, businesses from every sector are playing into this shift. They are sincerely improving their activities for the better of the environment, or they are doing something called ‘greenwashing’. While the term has been around since the 1980’s, not everyone is familiar with what it means, so allow us to explain it for you: greenwashing is when a business deceptively gives a spin on their green values and marketing to persuade the general audience that they are a more eco-friendly business than they in reality are. They may make claims that can not be substantiated by easily accessible public information, claims that are vague and ambiguous or they call their products green based on an extremely narrow set of values and attributes, for instance. There are numerous other ways in which a business can practice greenwashing, but these are amongst the most popular methods. Since everyone is going green, it is hard to check whether or not all these claims are true. Xindao has found a way to eliminate greenwashing with their new sustainable products, the IMPACT range.

Creating the IMPACT range The idea behind the IMPACT range is transparency. By being transparent about all the ins and outs of the products in the range, greenwashing is a thing of the past. The biggest aspect of sustainability the IMPACT range focuses on, is water usage and water shortage. According to several predictions, about 50% of the world’s population will be affected by a shortage of available (clean) drinking water by 2025. By using recycled cotton and PET, thousands of liters of water are saved. For instance, one recycled cotton bag saves about 1600 liters of water! But how can you be sure they actually use recycled material, instead of greenwashing? That is where AWARE™ technology comes in. It is a virtual component in the production process that ensures sustainable production using tracer and blockchain technology. Below, we will explain the production process for you.

The IMPACT products There are two main types of products included in the IMPACT range. The first group are the bags and folders. Cooler bags, portfolios, laptop sleeves and more are all made following the production process mentioned above. There are even anti-theft backpacks, for when you want to save the environment and your possessions simultaneously. The second group are the bottles. They are available in stainless steel or in borosilicate glass with bamboo lids, for that modern appearance. |
